Coral Beauty Cotoneaster
Cotoneaster Coral Beauty is an evergreen shrub that grows to about knee high then flows horizontally on the ground. It is a great plant to use on the edge of raised beds or on hillsides as a ground cover. Once established it is drought tolerant and likes full sun. but also tolerate part shade. They bloom in the spring with a profusion of small white flowers. Wintertime they develop ornamental red berries that birds love. Leaves are shiny green on long trailing branches. It is hardy to temperature -20 degrees making it hardy to zone 5.
The Spring blooms attract butterflies and hummingbirds with the winter berries for the birds. Cotoneaster is considered to be pest free.
