Densiform Yew will give you year-round evergreen interest in the landscape. This yew is very versatile low maintenance and hardy. Use as a foundation planting, mix with upright evergreens, or in a container. Plant under a tree as it tolerates part shade well. Since it tolerates shearing, plant together as a low hedge. The low, spreading shrub has dark green foliage and produces red berry-like cones.
The Densiformis Yew is popular due to its extreme cold hardiness, dense habit and ease of care. Hardy in zones 4-7.
All species of Yew are poisonous . An exception to this is deer who can graze on the leaves without being affected and birds can eat the fruit without consequence.
