Perovskia atriplicifolia – Russian Sage is a member of the mint family. Russian Sage ‘Blue Jean Baby’ PP29281 is a hybrid was developed to have a more compact form that won’t flop over on hot summer days. This easily grown woody-based perennial has tall, airy bloom spikes of lavender blue from June till frost. It has blue gray-green aromatic (when crushed) foliage on stiff, upright stems.

Grows best in dry to medium, well drained soil in full sun. For best results, avoid wet areas as they require good drainage and are very drought tolerant. Prune to the ground in early Spring as new growth starts to appear. No serious insect or disease problems noted and they are tolerant of rabbit and deer. A easy to grow, low maintenance perennial that can be planted in mass, along garden paths, or in perennial beds.
