Solomon’s Seal

A woodland garden classic grown mostly for its unique variegated green foliage. A great plant for the shade grown shallow by tubers make it the perfect plant to naturalize under large trees. Graceful arching stems bare green foliage with white edged margins that support dainty white hanging flowers. Attracts hummingbirds.

Plant under trees as a slow growing groundcover, in containers, a woodland garden or pair with Hostas, Ferns or Brunnera. Stems make a nice cut flower for arrangements. Solomon’s seal is easy to maintain and long lived. Plant the finger-like tubers just below the soil with the stem pointed up. Prefers heavy to medium moisture. May be divided in early spring or fall. Hardy zones 3-9
