Veronica Spicata is a compact and easy to grow perennial that bears striking purple/blue flowers on upright spikes. They bloom late Spring into Fall and are popular in cutting and borders gardens. In containers, they add a nice colorful vertical element.
Veronica like average to moist soil with good drainage in full or part sun. Even though they spread by a creeping rootstock, Veronica is not invasive. They usually grow 1 to 3 feet tall with 1 foot flower spikes. These are an easy to grow plant and have a compact and upright habit.
