Salvia is an easy choice as it is a hardy, low maintenance  perennial with striking colorful blooms.  Blooms continue throughout the summer until the first killing frost in Fall.  Comes back in Spring again to put on another show of purple.    Perfect for garden beds, containers, borders, and landscapes.

Hardy zones 3-8.  Birds and hummingbirds are drawn to the vibrant color of the blooms.   Deer resistant but not deer proof- depending on scarcity of food.  Partners well with daylilies, phlox, daisies, black eyed Susans, coreopsis, and roses.
