Stella de Oro daylily – Hemerocallis A must for every landscape! Easy care perennials that are tough but beautiful giving you bright yellow flowers from May to July. An early bloomer which is always a welcome sight after a long winter. Easy to grow in most soils, they require very little maintenance. As with most daylilies, they bloom best in full sun but also tolerate light shade. This makes the Stella de Oro daylily one of the most popular plants for landscapes. They are compact plants that grow to around 12 inches tall and wide and can be grouped close together to be utilized as a ground cover.
Daylilies die down to the ground in winter, only to faithfully return each spring and lasting all summer with waves of reblooming into fall. After a few years, they can be divided so you can have more of these wonderful colorful plants to keep or share with friends. This is one of the hardiest plants I grow. They are drought tolerant and are known to grow best in zones 3-9
